Learn about the extraordinary artists featured in In-Ordinary

John Johnson

Photographer

Growing up in Washington D.C, John Johnson was no stranger to diversity and a range of cultures. Growing up, he heard stories from family, friends and strangers about their life, experiences and passions. These inspired him to find his own way to tell stories.

Finding his own path, John pursed the arts in high school, enrolling in the Duke Ellington School of Arts. John pursued his passions in photography and video production.

He established his desire and drive to perfect his craft. His photography focuses on portraits and everyday people. He believes that possibility begins with imagination and incorporates that into all aspects of his life.

Craig Curbean

Culinary Artist

Craig Curbean A.K.A ArtPusha is an incredible culinary artist by trade. He is the Co-Owner and Head Chef of the Taste This franchise. Pulling artistic inspiration from not only other great chefs, but artist such as Kaws, Josh Sperling, and Yann Houri ArtPusha drives his own narrative in his work. His talent for bringing complex ideas to life using unlikely tools and distinct flavor seems from a passion to create beauty in brutality.

The aggression and tactfulness inherent in his abstract expressionism paintings asserts his bold; brazen yet highly sophisticated tastes.

Brilliant collisions of color, texture, depth, and ever-changing shape encompass much of what ArtPusha represents as an artist, and as a multi-faceted creative individual. High fashion, high art, quality design, and other refined tastes influences his style and drive to create!
